How often should I mow my grass?

Depending on the type of grass, the general rule of thumb is to not cut more than 1/3 of the leaf blade. This normally means once per week, but there are times when mowing more or less frequently is required.

How much do your lawn services cost?

Regarding lawn and landscaping services, there are a lot of variables to consider because each lawn is unique. Our service professionals will discuss your specific needs and provide you with a free, detailed price estimate before performing any services.

Can you keep weeds out of my yard and flower beds?

Yes! We offer tailored services that are designed to control undesirable weeds in your flower beds and lawn.

Does someone need to be home when you come to my house?

We prefer to meet you at your home during the initial site evaluation of your property in order to answer any questions you may have. After our first visit and assessment, we can perform our services without anyone being present at the home.

Is a job estimate free?

Yes! The Grounds Guys provides free estimates for all service inquiries.

What services do The Grounds Guys offer?

Are you insured?

Yes! Ground Guy service professionals are insured.

Do the Ground Guys use/hire subcontractors to perform services?

Most of our services are performed by our in-house trained, professional staff. We occassionaly use subcontractors from time to time, depending on the specific job requirements, which vary by location.

Do you offer organic programs/services?

We do our best to minimize pesticide usage at all of our service locations.

Do you accept credit cards or offer other financing options?

Almost all of our locations accept major credit cards, with cash, check, and other financing options also available. Payment methods and financing options vary by location so please contact your local The Grounds Guys for more information.

Will you plant flowers I bought?

Yes, we can plant flowers you purchased. However, we do not offer a warranty on plants we did not purchase for you. We also offer landscape design services. Our experienced design team will work with you to create a landscape design you love. To get started, schedule a meeting with one of our designers today!

Can you come after I get home from work? Do your rates change after-hours?

We can arrange for a service professional to meet you after hours; however, our service crews typically work normal daytime hours. There may be a charge, if our service crews need to perform service beyond our normal business hours. Prices and availability will vary for each location.

How soon can someone be here?

We schedule our initial site evaluations on a first come, first serve basis as promptly and efficiently as we can without sacrificing quality. At The Grounds Guys we want to provide every customer with a world-class experience. Therefore, we refuse to cut corners or take shortcuts so we can provide our customers with the high level of service they expect.

How long will it take for you to provide my service?

The length of our service visit will depend on the size of your property and the type of services we perform.

Do I need to move anything out of the yard prior to service?

We recommend cleaning up any kid and/or pet toys in your yard prior to the arrival of our team. If such items are not picked up prior to our arrival, our team will pick them up and move them out of the way prior to servicing that area of your property.

What is the best time of year to request pruning service?

Our pruning service promotes the health and beauty of your plants and trees, and varies depending on time of year and geographic location. Special care and consideration is given to pruning during appropriate times to encourage flowering and good, healthy development of newly formed buds and twigs.

Do you service both residential and commercial properties?

Yes, we provide services for both residential and commercial properties. You can check out some of our most recent work at groundsguys.com.

Will somebody come out to my home for a simple 5-minute task?

Given travel time and fuel costs, The Grounds Guys locations set a service minimum. While we’re happy to perform 5-minute tasks while onsite, you will be charged for a minimum period of time—generally 1 or 2 hours. Consider what you need to have done and call your closest office to discuss your specfic needs. We can often complete several small services in a short visit.
